CSons is a family run restaurant that strives to sell the tastiest food in town. We work closely with amazing local producers to achieve this. Due to expansion we are now in a position to recruit a Manager who will be responsible for the management of the day to day operations.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about great food, loves people, believes work should be hard but fun and has a proven track record in a retail or hospitality management role.

CSons Manager Job Description
This is a senior management position which involves all aspects of running a small independent business although the primary function is to work as a hands-on manager leading and assisting in the efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and polite service of our customers.
Role responsibilities are defined below;
Assist and manage in the smooth day to day operations of the restaurant.
Set up and manage open and close checklists.
Ensure stock levels of food and wine are maintained to efficient levels and negotiate pricing where appropriate.
Set up and manage cleaning procedures to ensure the wine restaurant is clean and presentable at all times.
Negotiate and manage contracts for services such as waste disposal, electricity and telephone etc
Set up systems to ensure that machinery and equipment is well maintained and serviced according to manufacturer guidelines and any legal requirements.
Perform daily cash up procedure and banking.
Ensure budgeted variable costs are achieved.
Be aware of product costs and ensure appropriate final retail pricing and margins are achieved.
Ensure staff hours are accurately kept and collated for payroll.
Take an active role in seeking out and proposing new and exciting food and drink products.
Lead and motivate the team.
Manage the training of the team to ensure that they are passionate and knowledgeable about our products and have received any relevant legally required training.
Write staffing rotas to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to ensure great customer service whilst hitting payroll budgets.
Ensure staff holidays are well managed so as not to impact negatively on staffing levels.
Create a happy and fun working environment that is relaxed yet professional.
-Health and Safety:
Work in conjunction with the directors and third party consultancy to ensure compliance and be responsible for enforcing the company health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure the reporting of any new hazards that may be noticed from time to time.
Promote a culture that is focused on safety and ensure the team are trained in all relevant policies and procedures.
Ensure that routine maintenance and safety checks are carried out on time and in keeping with legal requirements.
Work in conjunction with the directors and third party consultancy to ensure compliance and be responsible for enforcing the company food safety policies and procedures.
Promote a culture that is focused on food safety and ensure the team are trained in all relevant policies and procedures.
Lead by example and provide friendly, knowledgeable and professional service to ALL our customers.
Create a team that are passionate about customer service.
Be responsible for managing and promoting the CSons social media accounts to agreed standards.
Take the lead in developing and promoting special events.
Seek out and investigate concepts and ideas that will deliver business growth.
